Guidelines for Preparing a Poster
‧As with oral presentations, Posters should report on work completed, and must present the work clearly and concisely.
‧Each author will have a 1.2-metre by 2.4-metre (Height by Width) display surface on which to mount, with pushpins, the information to be presented. The location Number of the poster board for your accepted presentation will be indicated in the Final Congress Program.
‧The title, author and institution/organization, including e-mail address, are to be prominently displayed across the top border with lettering height between 2.5 and 5.0cm.
‧Authors must be present at their poster for the entire session.
‧Poster displays are intended to present information coherently and informatively. The format should be designed to attract attention and stimulate thinking.
‧A Abstract must be placed in the upper left corner.
‧Information should be presented with a minimun of words, in large type/font that can be viewed easily from about one metre away─ Times New Roman or Arial font in 18 points seem to work well. Lettering should be dark (Bold type). Keep Tables and Figures simple and uncluttered...details come through conversation with the author(s).
‧Use informative headings, beginning with a clear statement of the Purpose of the Project/Research/Best practice. Add a brief description of procedures or rationale for the project as appropriate. Next, show findings or conclusions, using tables, graphs, figures, photographs, programming, policy, etc.
‧Special Note: To potimize understanding by a wide range of delegates, all Headings and major labels should be in both English and Chinese characters.
